Family Support Services
At Youth Recovery Connections (YRC), we recognize that families play a critical role in prevention, healing, and long‑term recovery.
Our family support services are designed to strengthen families, improve communication, and provide guidance during times of stress, transition, or challenge related to mental health, substance use, and system involvement.
We understand that families are often impacted alongside their loved ones—and that supporting the family system is essential to creating sustainable change.

How We Provide Family Support
YRC offers family support services that are person‑centered, trauma‑informed, and culturally responsive. Services are tailored to each family’s needs and may include:
-
Education about mental health, substance use, and recovery
-
Support navigating behavioral health, healthcare, school, and community systems
-
Assistance understanding available services, rights, and options
-
Coaching around communication, boundaries, and problem‑solving
-
Support during reentry, transitions, or periods of crisis or uncertainty
-
Connection to community resources and additional supports
Services may be provided individually or in group settings and can occur in community‑based locations, schools, or other trusted environments.
Why Family Support Matters

Families are often the first to notice early signs of distress and are essential partners in prevention and intervention efforts. Family support helps:
-
Reduce stress and confusion during challenging situations
-
Strengthen family relationships and communication
-
Promote early intervention and engagement in services
-
Improve outcomes for individuals receiving care
-
Build resilience and stability within the family unit
By supporting families, we help create environments that promote healing, accountability, and long‑term well‑being.

Integrated With Our Programs
Family support is integrated across YRC’s services, including:
-
Prevention and early intervention, to address concerns early
-
Enhanced Care Management (ECM), supporting coordination and continuity of care
-
Peer and reentry services, strengthening transition and reintegration efforts
-
Advocacy services, ensuring families feel informed and supported across systems
Families are engaged as partners—at their own pace and with respect for individual boundaries and consent.
Our Commitment
YRC is committed to supporting families with compassion, dignity, and respect. We believe family support is not about blame—it is about understanding, empowerment, and shared solutions.
When families are supported, individuals are better able to thrive—and communities grow stronger.
