Joshua Flores

Case Manager/ Peer Support Specialist

"I want young people to know there are adults who care about them, who are here for them, and who they can trust."

While meet ups with youth can be done directly at YRC, Joshua spends much of his time working with youth directly through school-based wellness centers or programs to provide individual and group support. He helps young people build confidence, overcome challenges, and connect with resources that support their goals. Youth often get referred due to behavioral issues at school or from other sources, including psychologists, law enforcement, or parents requesting additional assistance. Issues or concerns range from gang violence, substance use, lack of support, low motivation at school, bullying, poor mental health, and much more.

Inspired by his own experiences growing up, Joshua is passionate about being a trusted source of support for youth. He believes every young person deserves to feel cared for, valued, and supported.
